TRPEx: Innovation in Action is a one-day, in-person conference where science meets art to spark bold ideas in healthcare!
Join students, faculty, and staff at U of T’s historic Hart House for a day of inspiring panel conversations, creative collaborations, artwork showcases, and meaningful networking. Whether you're a researcher, innovator, or curious creative - TRPEx is where ideas ignite.
Follow the conference on LinkedIn and Instagram.
This event has three components:
Panel discussions and keynote speakers will include a diverse range of experts who engage with arts-based research in health and communicate science to the public. We will also highlight Indigenous perspectives in this space.
In place of traditional research posters, we will showcase an art exhibition, to present works that reflect our theme - merging science and art to advance healthcare innovation.
Connect with creatives, researchers, and professionals across diverse disciplines. This segment is designed to foster meaningful conversations, spark collaborations, explore unconventional career paths, and build lasting relationships at the intersection of science, art, and healthcare.
TRPEx is a meeting place for intergenerational and interdisciplinary dialogue and networking - any can join!
This event is open to interested undergraduate, graduate, and professional students, alongside faculty and staff from the University of Toronto. Community members, researchers, organizations and high school students are welcome as well!
With a registration fee of $10 per person, all individuals will get access to a day of in-person programming and networking, including workshops, panel discussions, keynote remarks, art exhibition, with refreshments and food provided.
This event is organized by Sheryl Ordonez, Angelina Da Silva and Muhammad Ansar, who are currently first-year MHSc Translational Research students at the University of Toronto, passionate about connecting art and science to spark innovation in healthcare!
This team brings experience and expertise in performance and visual arts, communication, research, community organizing, and non-profit leadership. Together, they are here to reimagine what is possible at the intersection of creativity and health.
