Capstone research projects

A Capstone research project is an opportunity for you to identify, propose, and execute a meaningful translational research project with tangible benefits for human health. Moving through the Toronto Translational Framework(™), you will leverage the latest research and resources of the university, partner hospitals, and community networks.

The project course provides opportunities to network and develop professional contacts through student-initiated activities such as interviews, engaging contacts as mentors, and committee members and collaborators. Through Capstone research projects, you will gain skills and competencies to navigate ambiguity and deal with setbacks in real-world contexts.

The Capstone research project is often a student's own personal goals for completing the program. This ideally should be a real issue you are facing in your work or lived experiences that you can address through the support of the TRP and then implement in your workplace.

The Capstone research project is the main focus of the second year of the program. See more on how you will learn.
