TJ Gowsalya Thayapararasa is a first-year Master of Health Science (MHSc) student in Translational Research at the University of Toronto. She completed her Honours Bachelor of Science with a double major in Cell & Molecular Biology and Human Biology, and a minor in Medical Anthropology. Currently, her research interests are shaped by projects she's worked on in Behavioral Genetics and Health Equity at The Hospital for Sick Children. She is passionate about translating knowledge into action by bridging the gap between research, institutions, and community needs.
