This week graduate students from the MHSC in Translational Research (the TRP) attended convocation!

We were delighted to celebrate with the students. The TRP along with the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology's MHSc in Laboratory Medicine program held a joint celebration where department Chair, Dr. Rita Kandel, noted how she believes graduation is one of life's biggest accomplishments, demonstrating hard work, determination, and success in accomplishing individual goals. She told the students: "You are young but your profession is even younger. I am encouraging you to be a force for change to make your field even better than when you entered it". We are sure they will!

The Graduate Office staff and Communications team were outside Convocation Hall cheering everyone on to the delight of many students who posed for photos.

Congratulations to all our graduates - we are very proud of you all!

If you've just graduated, make sure you connect with us on LinkedIn and update your contact details with the alumni office so we can stay in touch!

Capstone Project: Enhancing Meaningful Integration of Patient Partners in Collaborative Healthcare Initiatives: A Qualitative project at CISSS de l’Outaouais

"This journey has been one of deep learning, growth, and collaboration. My research focused on integrating the perspectives of patient partners into collaborative initiatives in the Outaouais region—a topic close to my heart and central to improving the relevance and impact of clinical practices.

Throughout this program, I had the privilege of working alongside inspiring mentors, passionate peers, and dedicated patient partners who reminded me every day why meaningful engagement matters. This experience has not only shaped my academic path but also strengthened my commitment to bridging the gap between research and real-world clinical impact."
