Research Interests
Neuroscience, Neurodevelopment, Neuropsychology, Mental health, Medical Pedagogy

Thrisha is a recent graduate from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour.

Her interests include furthering health promotion and health access, especially in paediatric populations affected by neurological disorders, by examining socioeconomic and cognitive factors. Thrisha not only explored her passions in her undergraduate curriculum, but has also been involved in clinical research, exploring such factors in paediatric brain tumour survivor populations.

During her time at McMaster, Thrisha also grew an interest in pedagogical sciences. As an undergraduate teaching assistant and an integrative science writing mentor, Thrisha grew curious about the role of teaching in learning and how it could impact professionals such as those in the medical field. Her new interests became the inspiration for her undergraduate thesis project and she hopes to continue exploring innovative teaching and learning strategies in her future research endeavours.

Thrisha is excited to take part in the Translational Research Program to learn in a new environment and work with a diverse group of like-minded individuals. She hopes, through the program, she can implement ways to make a real difference in healthcare and positively impact patients’ lives through healthcare innovation.

Outside of academia, Thrisha enjoys spending time with her friends and family, listening to music, and watching movies from all over the world. Thrisha also has a strong passion for art as she loves creating pencil-sketches, especially of those around her.
