Tala is a recent graduate of the Forensic Biology program at the University of Toronto.
Her interests focus on patient care and medicine, and she aspires to become involved with humanitarian aid organizations. She is particularly passionate about health promotion in underserved communities and developing countries.
Through her experiences as a Medical Assistant, Tala identified several gaps in the Canadian healthcare system, which deepened her interest in translational research.
Outside of academics, she enjoys traveling, painting, and swimming. As a first-year student, Tala aims to challenge herself by exploring unfamiliar topics and skill areas, as well as find innovative ways to support patients and healthcare professionals.
