Sanjana is a graduate from Western University with a specialization in Biology (BSc), who is passionate about innovating on health issues that are heavily stigmatized and overlooked. She is especially interested in sexual and reproductive health, mental health, and how to make healthcare more accessible and equitable. She was involved with menstrual health education and advocacy through her role as education co-chair at Bleed the North, a non-profit organization which aimed to end period poverty and stigma in Ontario. Sanjana hopes to enhance sexual and reproductive healthcare in Canada through equity-and-empathy driven research and innovation.

She is also interested in health education. She had the opportunity to partake in this field in a variety of ways, from creating a reproductive system workshop for students in grades 6 to 10, to creating healthcare simulation equipment for healthcare trainees using AutoCAD and silicone moulding techniques.

In her free time, Sanjana enjoys playing tennis, watching stand up comedy & sitcoms, and listening to indie rock music!
