Sandy Schwenger

CEO m-Health Solutions Inc.

Sandy started her career as a Healthcare Professional at Hamilton Health Sciences. In 1996 she launched a Joint Venture with Hamilton Health Sciences and in 1998 took the business outside of the hospital system. PatientCare Solutions (PCS) was founded and continues to grow. PCS specializes in development and delivery of patient education and support programs for the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. Using key learnings as a clinician and from PCS, Sandy founded m‐Health Solutions in 2010. mHS uses mobile cardiac diagnostics to service patients throughout Ontario. To date, over 36,000 patients have been diagnosed with the technology. It is used by over 130 cardiologists; 15 hospitals and 2,500 family physicians. A firm believer in collaboration and co‐operation, Sandy’s goal is to bring forward new technologies, processes and system innovation. In 2015/2016 m‐Health Solutions was the recipient of the OCEs Advancing Health grant. They brought their mobile cardiac diagnostic device and model to stroke patients in 6 LHINs. In March 2016, there was an EOI to bring their technology and service to Alberta in a joint project between Ontario and Alberta. m-Health Solutions has been recommended for full proposal. Sandy is a member of the Board of Directors of MEDEC, on the cardiovascular task force, and a member of the Value of Technology steering committee.  She is also an Advisory Board Member of the National Research Council.
