Susan (Sue) Zelko
Simulation Specialist
St. Michaels Hospital, University of Toronto

Brief Bio

Two decades of experience working in the Human Service field has given Sue a close look into the health care system and the wide gaps that negatively affect patients. These gaps have ignited a passion for Sue to find solutions to improve the patient experience. Currently working as a Simulation Specialist at St. Michael’s Hospital, her passion has led her to design experiential training models for interprofessional practitioners. Some of these models include: cricothyroid, invasive placenta, and bleeding lacerations to name a few. Her quest for improving patient care and medical education brought her to the TRP. Sue hopes to gain a sound foundation of knowledge translation to clearly identify gaps in the system and find innovative ways to influence positive change in patient care.
