Profile

Dr. Brendan Mullen, MD, FRCPC, FCAP is an anatomical pathologist with over three decades of experience in diagnostic medicine, medical education, and health system innovation. An Emeritus Associate Professor at the University of Toronto and former Deputy Director of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital, he is the Laaboratory Director of FlowLabs, an ISO 15189 Plus™ accredited diagnostic network pioneering community-based and telehealth-integrated pathology services. Dr. Mullen has played a key role in provincial policy as Chair and Tariff Lead of the Ontario Medical Association’s Section on Laboratory Medicine and is a co-investigator on the Genome Canada Prostate Cancer Biomarker Project. He holds an MD from the University of Ottawa, certification in Anatomical Pathology (FRCPC), Diplomate status with the American Board of Pathology, and executive training in Healthcare Analytics, AI, Big Data & Digital Transformation from the Rotman School of Management
