Supporting Documents

Tell us about an issue in health, medicine or care that you want to champion, improve or innovate, and why.

What to include:

  • Word count of 500 words

A curriculum vitae is a short written summary of a person’s career, qualifications, and education.

  • There is no set template for your CV
  • Inclusion of relevant extracurricular experience is permitted

You will need to upload copies of your transcript(s) in the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) online application portal.

  • We can make admission offers based on your uploaded transcripts, but must receive hard copies of your transcripts before you can register in the program
  • You must have your academic institution(s) mail official hard copies of your transcript(s) to the TRP office as instructed by the application website before you can register
  • If your transcript or degree is not in English, you must arrange to have the document translated by a certified translation service, embassy or consulate

We require 3 reference letters, with one of those letters being from an academic reference. References must be submitted by referees via the online application system.

  1. Pay your application fees
  2. Register your referees and provide their institutional email addresses
  3. Referees complete the reference once instructions are sent by the online system

*Any non-academic referees should be able to speak to your capacity and performance. Referees cannot be family, friends (peers) or other applicants.

If you have been educated at a non-Canadian institution, your educational background will be assessed for equivalency with a University of Toronto degree. See more on the SGS website.

We encourage international students to apply early to ensure sufficient time for review and securing a study permit (student visa).

If you received your previous degree from a university where English is NOT the language of instruction, you must complete a recognized English Language Proficiency Test (within the last two years) before applying to the TRP

See the list of recognized tests and score requirements.
