Are you a current or incoming student at the TRP looking to make new connections? Your search ends here! The TRP Social Committee brings you Virtual Saturday morning informal Coffee Chats to help you meet new like-minded people and stay connected.
If COVID-19 has taught us anything, being able to communicate remotely with others is extremely important. Making connections in the midst of a global pandemic has been hard, and social interaction has been lacking. The TRP Social Committee has been striving to keep our students and cohorts connected. Virtual Saturday morning informal Coffee Chats have been a great way to catch up with friends and make new ones from the comfort of your own home.
The latest Saturday Coffee Chat session was filled with lots of laughs, movie & TV show suggestions, and cute feline introductions. The conversations allowed new students and first-year students to ask questions about the program, the capstone process, and life after TRP. “As a second-year student, it’s been nice to help guide other students as they transition into the program. I have found that everyone in the program is so welcoming, helpful, and friendly and we really foster a sense of community,” says Vida Maksimoska.
Wondering how a coffee chat can help impact your career? Here are a few ways how:
- Builds trust and genuine connection
- Learn from other’s experiences
- Gives you an insider look at a field or position
- Builds your network
- Improves your networking skills
- Gives you a better chance of standing out
- Beats pandemic blues
Avail of these benefits and more, come out for the next social chat, bring a cup of your favourite roast, and catch up with us. The TRP Social Committee is hosting a TRP Coffee Chat on Saturday, March 27th, 2021 at 12 pm. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like a Zoom link to join us.
