Tara is passionate about translational research that enables Canadian health care to achieve true universality and accessibility.
Through the TRP and IHPME, she is learning to design, implement, evaluate, and iterate clinical interventions that act on the social determinants of health. She is currently exploring the development of an income security intervention within the emergency department at The Hospital for Sick Children. Tara holds a degree in biology and economics from Ryerson University and is a recipient of the Governor General’s Academic Silver Medal. Her work is driven by her lived experiences with rural life, chronic illness and trauma.
