Brief Bio:

Julia Antolovich completed her Honours Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto where she majored in Pharmacology and Biochemistry. She continued to pursue graduate studies at U of T in the Institute of Medical Science and was part of the second cohort of a new Master of Health Science program in Translational Research (TRP). During her time with the TRP Julia studied innovative ways to translate knowledge, identify unmet needs and tackle complex problems in healthcare by applying a framework rooted in design-thinking. Her final project focused on nutritional literacy and unraveling the barriers that cancer patients face when trying to access nutritional information after their treatment has ended. Julia also completed a collaborative degree and specialization in Knowledge, Media, and Design where she engaged in the design, prototyping, evaluation, and use of knowledge media in real-world contexts. Julia is currently a Research Assistant working on the Cardiovascular Health Awareness Program (CHAP) Randomized Control Trial. She assists with project deliverables that contribute to the implementation of CHAP in subsidized housing in the Niagara Region. When Julia is not at work, she can be found wine tasting and winery hopping in Niagara-on the-Lake, watching Netflix with her dog, lifting weights at the gym or snowboarding in Mont Tremblant.
