Brief Bio:

Dr. Rachelle Ashcroft, BSW, MSW, is an Assistant Professor at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto. Her research focuses on a broad range of health care issues with particular interest in the integration of social work in primary health care settings and on improving the quality of community-based mental health care, with emphasis on interprofessional primary health care settings. As principal investigator, Rachelle is currently leading a qualitative investigation on the conditions that help support quality mental health care in Ontario Family Health Teams. Originally from Winnipeg, Rachelle completed her BSW and MSW at the University of Manitoba, and practiced for more than 12 years in Winnipeg, in community HIV organizations, residential community mental health settings and Winnipeg’s Health Science Centre.
