Kimberly Crasta is a graduate student at the University of Toronto, completing her Master of Health Sciences degree in Translational Research and a Collaborative Specialization in Public Health Policy. Prior to this, she graduated with an Honours Bachelor in Life Sciences Co-op, double minoring in Chemical Biology & Psychology at McMaster University.

Having been a patient for much of her childhood, she recognizes how critical it is for healthcare providers to combine science with 'the human touch & perspective.' She uses her medical journey to inspire her actions in the field of translational health research. Additionally, believes an inclusive healthcare system starts with each person and their community. As such, she is active in her community through volunteering with four STEM-based educational platforms geared towards children in middle & high school. She has created various mental health awareness initiatives and runs donation drives for community charities catering to people experiencing homelessness, mental health struggles, and lack of access to staple necessities.

Ultimately, she hopes to be a healthcare provider that emphasizes 'care' as much as 'health.'
