Although, as a professional masters program, the TRP does not offer guaranteed stipends, students are expected to learn how to seek and apply for both project and individual funding. During the program, students are encouraged to apply to:

CIHR/NSERC/SSHRC Canada Graduate Scholarships Masters Awards (CGSM)

The Canada Graduate Scholarships Master’s Awards are intended to provide special recognition and support to students who are pursuing a Master’s degree in a health or science-related field in Canada.

Ontario Women’s Health Scholars Award

  • Master’s Awards – $25,000 plus $1,000 research allowance

Funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, a Scholar Awards Program in Women’s Health has been established to ensure that Ontario attracts and retains pre-eminent women’s health scholars.

The community of women’s health scholars fostered by this Awards program will excel, according to internationally accepted standards of scientific excellence, in the creation of new knowledge about women’s health and its translation into improved health for women, more effective health services and products for women, and a strengthened health care system.

Ontario Graduate Scholarships (OGS)

This scholarship recognizes academic excellence in graduate studies at the MSc and PhD levels in all disciplines of academic study.

A limited number is available to visa students.

The OGS program at U of T is jointly funded by the Province of Ontario and the University of Toronto.

Minimum A- average is required.

SGS “University-Wide” Awards

Over the years a number of endowments have been established at the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) through the generous support of various donors.

Both new and continuing students are eligible (a small number of awards are entrance scholarships).

Unless otherwise stated, full-time students in all years of study are eligible.

LMP is under Division IV.
