National Health and Fitness Day is a nationwide event held every year on the first Saturday in June since 2014. The event encourages all Canadians, no matter their fitness level, to participate in a physical activity that they enjoy to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Here at the TRP Fitness Club, we celebrated this event by holding a successful four-day Fitness Boot Camp for all students and faculty of any fitness level in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology.
We are excited to share that our blog theme for the month of June will be our reflection on the importance of recognizing national Health and Fitness Day.
